  • Great - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

This is our 2nd Grand Caravan and we are loving it, especially the Sirius radio and navigation. Everything about this car is great. The Special Edition is awesome. Comfortable, great performance, luxurious and quiet ride. Stow and Go seats are a plus. We almost bought the Nissan and are glad we didnt. The seats are completely hidden. No more pulling them out and storing. Highly recommended. Has less air bags offered, but we dont have kids, so that was a non issue. Great value, price was right for the value.

  • Grand Caravan conversion - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

My husband had a stroke and we needed to find a van that could be converted for handicapped use. We were so lucky to find Rollx Vans in Minnesota and they deal only in Chrysler products. We are very pleased with our van and our conversion features.. We have our life back! The passenger side back slide door works great, the car kneels and the ramp folds out in a matter of seconds... all by remote control. The remote that controls the conversion equipment is very handy and works great!

  • Solid Van, Great Value - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
    By -

I bought this van about one year ago. It replaces a 2001 Honda Civic, which was not all that reliable. It was a great value. For the same money, a Toyota or Honda would have been twice as old and had at least twice the miles. Does that really make sense? As someone who as owned Honda and Toyota, I say no. So far, reliability has been great. A corroded battery cable, not unusual for that mileage, has been the only problem. Fuel mileage is good considering its size and it is a great road vehicle. Dont care for the 2nd row Stow and Go. Storage is nice but the seats are not very comfortable for adults. Build quality is just OK but as a whole, this van works pretty well.

  • Best Yet! - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

We traded in our 1997 GC for the 2005 SXT. We have loved it since the 1st time we sat in it. The seats are extremely comfortable. The ride is amazingly quiet. The van take bumps like they werent even there. This is our 4th Dodge Grand Caravan and this is the best yet. We havent made a long trip in it yet, but I am definitely looking forward to one. Thanks Dodge for continual great design and upgrades.

  • 2005 DGC SXT - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

We now have close to 70,000 miles on our SXT. We have had some small eletrical problems (always on the passenger side) like the passenger side window not working, but it goes away. The sliding doors tend to pop off the track if they are opened too fast. (we have only seen this happen twice.)Overall we get around 18 MPG in town and about 25MPG highway. We have taken many trips in our SXT without any mishaps. The waterpump has been changed. But that was the only part that has had to be replaced. We have a had a check engine light on for several months now, it doesnt interfere with performance, so weve ignored it until we can afford to take it in. Its a great family vehicle.

  • I like the new features - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

I have had a few cars in the last few years.( Saturn, Neon, and a Windstar) None of these compare to the features of the Grand Caravan. We got the vehicle used but has almost brand new interior and exterior. I really like the DVD player, and stow and go seating.. I think this will make it much easier to travel to visit family and friends.

  • Versatility King - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

I bought the Grand Caravan over the new Odyssey because of the StownGo feature and it hasnt disappointed me. I need versatility and maximum cargo space, and the Dodge has it and more. Reliability and build quality are not on par with Japanese vehicles but they cannot match the Dodges versatility. I keep my vehicles forever, so resale value is not a factor to me.

  • Awesome Van - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

Weve had our van for six months now and I still love it! We had an 02 Odyssey before this one and I would definitely recommend the Dodge over the Honda. I think it is very easy to drive. I feel like I sit up in it and that I have a good view of my surroundings. Stow n go seating is great! I have two young children and their stuff is no longer rolling around on the floor of the van!

  • We LOVE it!! - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
    By -

This was our very first new vehicle, and boy are we delighted! Did lots of research before buying to decide between minivans; the quality for the price (Sienna and Odyssey didnt seem worth the extra $5-6 thousand for comparable models) and Stow n Go really won us over. Couldnt be happier with the interior roominess, comfy handling, intuitively placed controls, comfy seats, fabulous storage options and (we think) nice exterior styling. The gas mileage could be better, but isnt too bad once you get cruising; averages out OK. Has pretty responsive get-up-and- go for such a big vehicle (feels big compared to the Accord we used to drive!) All in all we couldnt be more pleased.

  • Do not purchase!! - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

I was expecting our 4th child, so we need a van. By 38,000 miles we had put $2100 worth of work into our van. Some was "normal wear": brakes and 4 new tires. I have never had to put brakes and tires on a car before 50,000 miles. Usually closer to 75,000 for brakes. The front axle broke, the water pump cracked, the check engine light and the oil light repeatedly come on. It drinks oil like crazy. I have to replace about 3-4 quarts between oil changes (which we do every 3,000 miles). There are lots of "small" plastic items that have broken off inside of the van. I will not own a Dodge again.
